Hey everyone!
I wanted to drop a note in here, just in case anyone still checks this place out. I don't think anyone does, but just in case, I wanted to let you know what an honor it's been to serve you guys and how happy I am to put the club in such good hands. You guys made this club absolutely insanely awesome, and I couldn't thank you all enough. You guys were unbelievable. Now, as I depart for college, it's weird not planning anymore meetings or not doing anything in preparation for the next meeting. It's weird not making a sign for freshman orientation, or to be researching new info to share in meetings.I feel like there are people I didn't really get to personally say goodbye to, but as I head off to UMass Amherst, I'm really going to miss you guys. You were each so important, and so supportive. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a better club.
I wanted to let you all know that you guys were amazing, whether you came to one meeting, or every single one. I couldn't have asked for a better last three years. The journey we went through was incredible, and having you guys made it that much better to travel. I would dread planning meetings, but when I'd walk into club and see all of your shining faces, I couldn't help but smile. You guys were why I did it. And for that, I'm eternally grateful. This club was the best part of Danny Hand for me, and I know it was because of you guys. So, thank you all. So much.
When my brother started this club ten some odd years ago, I don't think he knew where it'd be a decade later, but I'm happy to show him it's still running. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your high school experience, and I hope you keep the fire burning that is the Daniel Hand High School Computer Club. I know that you all can. I believe in you. Keep finding the joy in technology, keep furthering your knowledge in everything computers, and keep encouraging people who struggle to fit in to come find the most inclusive, welcoming group in the entire school.
I love you guys. Thanks for everything.
