Demons and humans...
They were never thought to be friends, but in the year 3000, something called a Millennium Gate was opened, and demons came out. Most would think they had a war, but to many peoples surprise, they didn't. They actually became friends, even inhabiting the same world in peace... mostly. There were a couple... shall we say... rebels. The rebellion, led originally and founded by a demon who went by the name of Higure, or "Night Incarnate" by the humans of that time, whom members of the rebellion call Conquerors. This rebellion has been slowly but exponentially increasing, and now in the year 4037, you've decided it's gone too far. You are a regular human being, from the Sandstorm District, and you think you can put an end to these rebels using... a myth. There is a myth of a mystical sword that can be used to purge the world from whatever the wielder saw as evil, and the demons can't use it. You think you can use this to stop the new leader of the rebellion, Kokumajutsu, "The Necromantic One", and put a permanent end to this rebellion against the order the Millennium Gate created long, long ago...
